About the Artist
Metal Sculptoress, Crysten Nesseth, developed a passion for working with recycled metals and sustainable arts after graduating from St. Olaf College in 2012, with a degree in Biology. She has developed a quiver of creative skills, including metal-working, 2D art, graphic design and music. Much of her work is inspired by her background in science and a passion for the natural world, where she can be found rock-climbing, sailing, skiing, scuba diving and traveling in her free time.
About the Art
Iron Maid Art is a Woman-Owned, Wisconsin/Minnesota-based, Recycled Arts Small Business. The artists explore many avenues of work, including outdoor exhibition sculptures, art festivals and events, signs, custom work, wholesale and retail products and much more.
About the Studio
The Iron Maid Art Studio is located at NTH Inc, a farming implement manfucturing business in Barron, WI, where Crysten Nesseth is titled Artist in Residence. Sculptural materials are recycled from NTH Inc. manufacturing scrap, and the artist has access to a plethora of industrial tools including Iron Workers, CNC Plasmas, Press Brakes and Saws.
